About
CodeBakery is a small, independent software studio in Germany. It publishes its own products rather than taking client work, which is what makes it possible to keep them narrow and to keep maintaining them.
Seven products so far, across family life, professional work and developer tooling. They have little in common on the surface; what they share is that each one started with a problem worth solving properly and stayed small enough to stay good.
How it works
Products are built one at a time and supported after launch. When one stops earning its place it is archived openly rather than left to rot in a store listing — you will see that status on this site before you see it anywhere else.
Nothing here runs on advertising, and no product sells usage data. Each states plainly what it stores and why.
Who runs it
CodeBakery is founded and operated by Nicolas Mehlei, a software engineer based in Germany. Company details required by German law are on the imprint.
Questions about a product, bug reports and press enquiries all go to hello ⟨at⟩ codebakery ⟨dot⟩ net, and reach a real person.
